Keith Kavisic was born in the small and beautiful community of Monterey, California in 1973. At the age of three, the Texan transplant commenced.
Serenaded since birth by his gypsy father Robert Kavisic a master pianist, accordian and clarinet player, Keith developed a more defined love for music and learned piano as his first instrument.
Journeying into adolescence Keith explored the guitar as a tool for reaching out of the classical box and pursued the instrument through many garage bands and high school experimental projects.
Spending the remainder of childhood learnin the good ole boy ways, Keith joined the Marine Corps at 17 entering into Desert Storm at the height of the action to serve his country in law enforcement and legal administration. Just short of four years, and a jaded view of political upheaval (after a tour at the LA riots), led to a binge of bohemia moving to Los Angeles to experience all that the Marine Corps forbade.
One fast car, a few modeling contracts and countless parties later, Keith reached out to his mother, a Sedona resident, for a grounding connection in efforts to re-connect to the earth. In 1993 Keith moved to Sedona where he was serendipitously re-connected with long lost high-school friend and musical collaborator Jason Thompson and the two began the journey in revamping the maturity of friendship and music together. Forming the band Jack Strange, and early Sedona favorite, the two went on to play music around the Southwest region that shook the foundation of current day paradigm.
Keith has spent the last seventeen years as a visionary artist and entrepreneur creating multi-faceted approaches to creating a community culture that works for everyone, a career that Kavisic has craftily termed Social Architect. "Creating local networks and natural hubs as meeting places can single handedly define an area and its culture. We are the revolution, creating forward everything in our path, so it is up to us to stand for our vision and walk tall in that stand unwavering."
When Keith performs for an audience, the crowd is taken on a journey of heart and soul, touching the core of passion, tuning in the heartstrings of life as we travel in a world full of fear and uncertainty. He has a way of inviting you into the space of vulnerability, sensing the exposure and releasing you into the the beauty of its power! A waking to the revolutionaries of today as Keith explores the subject of war, honor, enlightenment, community and the One! With mixtures of folk , americana, reggae and eastern spiritual explorations, Kavisic hits home to audiences of all ages.
Musical influences include, Peter Gabriel, Ziggy Marley, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Stevie Wonder, Rusted Root, Dave Matthews, Ben Harper and many many more.................................
Global readiness and visionary strategy is another focus of Kavisic's as he spends much time traveling abroad to work with communities and groups that call on he and his collegeues at Vision Force, www.visionforce.com. Using basic and simple tools of vision and honor, the VF group works with visionaries who are at a standstill with their visions and remove the obstacles they are facing. Most often this obstacle has a deep root in judgement! In the simple action of taking a stand fully for that vision, each individual realizes what he/she is willing to face to get there. Standing in the face of everything, avoiding nothing!
